SITE FOR WOUNDED WARRIOR SERVICE DOG HEALING & WELLNESS ACTIVITIES

Warrior Canine Connection’s TM Healing Quarters (HQ) is an historic stone home located on 70 acres of rolling farmland in the heart of Maryland’s, Patuxent River State Park. The Patuxent River (stocked with trout) runs in front of the 3,500 square foot home and 750 foot barn which is available for service dog training and other group activities. The property adjoins an additional 5000 acres of scenic Maryland state park land with miles of hiking and horseback riding trails.

Just 17 miles North of Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, this tranquil setting provides a therapeutic time out for Wounded Warriors, their families, and the medical staff that cares for them to enjoy the powerful sense of wellness that comes from time spent in the beauty and tranquility of Nature. Warriors and their families and other caregivers can participate in dog training and socialization lessons or just enjoy the sheer joy—and big medicine—of puppy petting. Fishing, swimming, hiking, bonfire meditation, are all front yard pleasures in this unique setting.
