Approved Lease Agreement for WCC — Maryland.gov

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (May 29, 2014) – Lt. Governor Anthony Brown today announced Board of Public Works approval of a lease agreement for the Schaeffer Farm Area of Seneca Creek State Park for the new headquarters of the Warrior Canine Connection (WCC), a non-profit organization that helps veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress and brain injuries train service dogs for other veterans. The Maryland Departments of Natural Resources (DNR) and General Services (DGS) worked together to develop a 25-year lease agreement, which was approved by the Board on Wednesday, to ensure the WCC can expand its mission and continue to operate in a Maryland State Park that offers a peaceful environment to support the healing process for veterans.
